Worked on design and integration of embedded wearable sensing systems for gait monitoring on ESP32 and XIAO MG24 in C/C++. Evaluated XIAO MG24 as the next hardware generation candidate: benchmarked it under production workloads, optimised current draw, and cut SD card write latency from ~2000 ms to ~535 ms by tracing the hardware bottleneck. Findings informed the direction for the next iteration.

Developed a wearable IMU-based gait analysis system for Parkinson’s disease using ESP32 with MPU6050/BNO055 sensors and Kalman filter signal processing. Designed a prototype 99% cheaper than current clinical-grade alternatives. Trained LSTM and ensemble classifiers achieving 99% accuracy and 87% Macro-F1. Built automated labelling scripts for GAIT phase data. The paper based on this work is under review.
